Ambassador Hotel Zurich Launches Summer Experiences
From private Lake Zurich adventures and rooftop fine dining to culinary walking tours and curated cycling experiences, Ambassador Hotel Zurich’s new House of Ambassadors showcases the city’s luxury lifestyle through exclusive collaborations with local artisans, chefs and creative partners.

As Zurich comes alive for summer, the Ambassador Hotel Zurich has unveiled an inspiring new concept that celebrates the city’s vibrant culture, culinary excellence, and entrepreneurial spirit. The new House of Ambassadors event series introduces four carefully curated summer experiences that invite guests to discover Zurich through the eyes of its locals.
Perfectly positioned in Zurich’s elegant Seefeld district, directly opposite the iconic Zurich Opera House and just a short stroll from the shores of Lake Zurich, the four-star boutique hotel is a destination in its own right. Housed within a beautifully restored historic building dating back to 1899 and thoughtfully renovated in 2023, the intimate property features just 44 individually designed rooms and suites, blending contemporary luxury with timeless elegance. The hotel’s interior design pays tribute to Zurich’s rich silk-trading heritage. Each floor is inspired by one of the historic trading partners that helped shape the city’s prosperity – from France and Spain & the Americas to Great Britain, India and Asia – creating a distinctive sense of place throughout the property.
Culinary experiences are equally central to the hotel’s identity. SILK Restaurant & Bar serves contemporary Swiss cuisine alongside inventive cocktails in an elegant setting, while the intimate COCOON Event Room provides a sophisticated venue for private gatherings and exclusive events. Above it all, THE VIEW Rooftop Terrace offers breathtaking 360-degree views across Zurich’s rooftops, Lake Zurich, and the surrounding Alps, making it one of the city’s most spectacular locations for memorable moments.
On 28 May 2026, the hotel officially launched House of Ambassadors with an exclusive evening celebrating local craftsmanship and collaboration. Hosted by Elia Morgenthaler, Cluster Hotel Manager of the three Meili Selection Hotels in Seefeld, together with Manuela Ellmaier, Restaurant Manager of SILK Restaurant & Bar, and Eva Kramer, founder of Kramer+Creatives, the event welcomed around 100 guests from the worlds of business, tourism, culture and design. More than simply unveiling a collection of experiences, the Ambassador Hotel presented a vision of modern luxury – one deeply rooted in Zurich’s heritage, gastronomy, craftsmanship, and creative community. Adding to the evening’s atmosphere were two immersive live experiences. At COCOON, Landolt Weine hosted an exclusive wine masterclass, while Zurich-based startup Plastic Studio transformed recycled local plastic into bespoke bottle openers before guests’ eyes. These distinctive pieces now serve as both functional design objects and sustainable conversation starters at SILK Restaurant & Bar. With Zurich at its most beautiful during the summer months, the new experiences invite visitors to discover the city from a fresh perspective, blending adventure, fine dining, nature, and local culture into unforgettable moments.
Supporting Zurich’s Creative Community
During the evening, Elia Morgenthaler also announced that Meili Selection Hotels has officially become a supporter of the Made in Zurich Initiative, reinforcing the group’s commitment to championing local artisans, independent businesses, manufacturers, and creative entrepreneurs. Representatives of the initiative, including Markus Freitag, Andrea Gir, and Sandra Schmid, welcomed the partnership as an important step towards increasing the visibility of Zurich’s homegrown brands and strengthening the city’s creative ecosystem.
Four Signature Summer Experiences
Each of the hotel’s new experiences has been thoughtfully created with local partners, offering guests exclusive access to the authentic side of Zurich.
Surf & Silk
In partnership with the Wakeboard Academy and SILK Restaurant & Bar, guests begin with a private boat cruise across Lake Zurich before enjoying a guided wake-surfing session. The adventure concludes with an elegant Surf & Turf dinner at SILK, combining adrenaline, lakeside scenery, and exceptional cuisine.
From Utoschloss with Love
Created together with Froilein Blume and THE VIEW Rooftop Terrace, this romantic experience features an exclusive rooftop table overlooking Zurich, seasonal floral styling, a Champagne aperitif, a bespoke five-course dinner with wine pairing, and an overnight stay in a Junior Suite. It is an unforgettable escape designed for two.
Ambassador Culinary Plant Walk
Developed in collaboration with WE ARE AIA, this guided walk explores the edible and medicinal plants hidden throughout Zurich’s charming Seefeld district. Afterwards, guests return to SILK Restaurant & Bar to enjoy a seasonal aperitif featuring a refreshing linden blossom spritz, followed by a sustainable signature summer dish inspired by the ingredients discovered along the route.
Ambassador Apéro Ride
Partnering with FLINC and SILK Restaurant & Bar, this leisurely cycling experience includes two stylish FLINC bicycles, a carefully curated gourmet picnic basket, and a collection of insider recommendations from the hotel’s Ambassadors. Designed to be explored at your own pace, it offers a relaxed and authentic way to discover Zurich’s hidden corners.
All four experiences are available exclusively through the Ambassador Hotel for Summer 2026. As each experience is offered in limited numbers, early reservations are recommended.
