MARINA S. HAQ – Founder & Editor-in-Chief
Marina is the founder and editor-in-chief of SAFAR. She holds a master’s degree in English literature and linguistics, as well as in Modern Asian and Middle Eastern studies. Marina also serves as the editor-in-chief of the Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights Switzerland Magazine and has contributed articles to various Swiss media outlets, including NZZ am Sonntag Magazin, Tages-Anzeiger’s Das Magazin, and the women’s lifestyle magazine Annabelle. Born and raised in Switzerland, Marina is both American and Swiss, with Afghan roots. She draws on her diverse background to reflect the magazine’s mission of bridging cultures.
MO HAQ – Editor
Mo, a passionate educator, is the Founder and Director of English Center Benglen, an English school established in 2008. The school offers language classes in English, German and French, as well as proofreading, copywriting, editorial, translation services, and social events. Mo lived in California before she relocated to Switzerland in 1996. She has contributed her skills to the editing, copywriting and proofreading of magazines, websites and marketing materials. Mo loves discovering new places and people, capturing her experiences through writing and photography for SAFAR. From mountains to the ocean, she loves everything nature has to offer.
